Garnier Ultimate Blends is a product range released in 2014 and one I’ve been meaning to review for a while.
Described by Garnier on their website as:
” Ultimate Blends is a range of signature blends created from natural ingredients. Our indulgent fragrances and caring formulas bring to life an immersive world of naturality & beauty.
Each ultimate blend brings together trusted ingredients that complement each other. These ingredients are combined in gentle and paraben free formulas to care for your hair.”
I have chosen two products to review:
1. Garnier Ultimate Blends the sleek restorer hair conditioner 400ml
2. Garnier Ultimate Blends body hydrating lotion marvellous oils 250ml
So, lets get started!
1. ‘The sleek restorer’ Garnier says
Tired of Frizz and flyaways? Discover Garnier’s ultimate blends, The sleek Restorer,a ultimate blend enriched with coconut oil and cocoa butter. The deliciously scented formula transforms dry frizzy hair into hair that looks super sleek and smooth for up to 72 hours.
This sounds like a superhero that restores my frizzy, dried out mane into Oscar worthy hair! – note must be said in a deep voice for full effect
Infact,It doesn’t go far off that image.. my hair looked smoother sleeker and I didn’t need to straighten it, I used it sparingly, putting more on the ends and then rubbing in just before rinsing.
The smell is like a chocolate coconut, and almost like a spa shampoo- posh!
I would reccomend this if you have fine, dry and frizz prone hair! I have also used the Olive Oil shampoo and conditioner for fine, dry hair which doesn’t weigh down fine hair whilst maintaining maximum moisture.

2. Marvellous Oils, sounds to me like something an Italian Willy Wonka has cooked up, however it is described on the Garnier website as:
“Marvellous Oils Hydrating lotion tailor-made for normal skin, with 2 precious oils; Argan & Camellia, the formula leaves your skin instantly hydrated and radiant”
I have talked previously about my skin, and finding something for my skin… Well, so far, so good! This isn’t too heavy, and just moisturising enough, it smells absolutely divine and makes me feel pampered!
Winter is never a good time for skin, what with central heating, cold winds and sometimes forgetting to be hydrated, my skin always bears the brunt of the seasons, so its important to have a good moisturiser, not a greasy one that feels like lard!
My only complaint, literally only, is the pump action is a nightmare with already moisturiser laden hands, and it doesn’t quite reach to the bottom…. Cutting the bottle in half does fix this if you want to get the last bits out!

So, good job Garnier, good job!
